First Meeting
The first NHS meeting will be held on Thursday, 4 October in the auditorium, we will discuss dues, points, and upcoming events. Remember attendence is mandatory.
NHS Honor Stoles
Graduating seniors who have met all NHS requirements will receive their NHS honor stoles on 13 June at graduation practice. In order to receive a NHS honor stole, a senior
- must have earned the required 14 service points for the year and
- must have a final accumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher
Any senior who has not met the above requirements will not receive his or her NHS honor stole.Added: 12 June 1007 17:47 EDT

Point Requirements
The school year is almost over, and many have not yet satisfied the point requirement. Old members needs seven points for this semester; new members need three. If you do not meet the requirement, you will be put on probation. If you are a senior and do not meet the requirements, you will not get your NHS stole. There are only two point opportunities left for the year. You can bring in items for the ice cream party on Thursday, and you can do the school beautification on Tuesday.

Head Start Books (Service Points Opportunity)
This Saturday, May 26, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., Katie will need help again with placing stickers in the Head Start books. This is an opportunity to earn two points. There are plans to go eat at KFC afterwards. Let Katie know if you plan to attend.

- Take I-95 South and get off at the Falmouth exit (EXIT 133A)
- Turn right onto Route 1
- Turn left onto Princess Anne Street
- Turn right onto Lafayette Boulevard

- The school is on the left; park in the teachers' parking lot

Service Points & Support the Troops
Thanks to everyone who brought in items for the troops and to everyone who packaged the items for shipment. A special thanks goes to Ethan Carmody who has already given a monetary contribution to help send the items over to the troops.
Everyone who turned in stuff for the troops deserves two points, and should notify Brody. The updated points list will be in Mrs. Easter's room. "Assisted Living" Date Changed to Monday, May 21
Since Wednesday didn't seem to work for anyone, the "Assisted Living" date has been changed to Monday, May 21 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. The location is the Greenfield Assisted Living Center off of Route 1. Sign up in Mrs. Easter's room any time before then. This is an easy way to earn two points. Help package items for "Support the Troops" (Service Points Opportunity)
Here is an opportunity to earn some more service points: on Thursday, May 17, after school, we will be packaging the received items for shipment to the troops. Anyone who is interested should meet in Mrs. Easter's room at 2:30 P.M. Please also consider giving a monetary donation to help pay for shipping to our soldiers since NHS is not paying for shipment (Brody is). Service Points Opportunities for May 2007
There are service point opportunities for members lacking in points! Everyone should be able to get two points for bringing in "Support the Troops" items (powdered drink mixes, magazines, games, etc.) tomorrow, May 11. This is open to anyone. There is a car wash this Saturday, May 12, from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. with two-hour shifts. Also on Saturday is the opportunity to help out with the "Head Start" book drive from 10 A.M to 2 P.M. in two-hour shifts. The Hartwood Carnival is next Saturday, May 19, from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M with two-hour shifts. Additionally, you can earn points by tutoring at AG Wright Middle School from 3:00 to 4:00 PM on Mondays and at Margaret Brent Elementary from 2:30 to 3:30 PM every other Tuesday. National Honor Society Applications Will Be Available in Approximately Two Weeks

The Borders Holiday Gift Wrapping previously scheduled for December 17, 2006 has been cancelled because neither Mr. Feducia nor Mrs. Easter is able to be there.
